Anyone else feeling the pressure to 'optimize' team structure?

Hey all, been at PLTR for a bit now and lately the vibe feels... different. There's a lot of talk about 'streamlining operations' and 'efficiency gains' from leadership, especially in recent all-hands meetings. It feels like a lot of the usual 'let's do more with less' rhetoric, but it's more frequent and pointed than I remember. Some teams are consolidating, and there's a general sense that headcount is being scrutinized more closely than usual. No official layoff announcements, and my direct team is fine for now, but it feels like a general tightening of the belt across the board. Just wondering if others are picking up on the same signals or if I'm just overthinking it. Feels like management is looking for any excuse to cut costs without calling it what it is.

Yeah, the 'optimization' talk feels pretty loud right now. It's definitely a shift from how things used to feel, where growth seemed more organic. Now it's a lot of intense focus on metrics and how every role contributes directly to a bottom line. Hoping it leads to more clarity and less just busywork, but honestly, the uncertainty is a bit draining. Keep your head down and focus on what you can control, I guess.

Interesting to hear you're feeling it too. The 'efficiency' push is definitely a trending topic across many tech companies, not just here. It's a tough balance between making sure the business is healthy and keeping the team morale up. My advice? Make sure your contributions are clearly visible and directly tied to the company's stated goals. Documentation and clear communication are key when these kinds of reviews happen.
