Totally get what you're saying. The 'efficiency' push has been palpable here too. It often starts with talk of streamlining and ends with, well, less of us. It feels less like genuine improvement and more like a prelude to cost-cutting disguised as progress. Keep an eye on the metrics they're suddenly obsessed with; that's usually where the real agenda hides.
I've noticed that too. The 'optimizing processes' language can be a bit of a red flag. It's great to be efficient, but when it feels like the goal is solely about reducing headcount rather than genuinely improving workflows or employee experience, it raises concerns. Hoping it's just buzzwords and not a sign of impending layoffs or increased workload without support.
