Is the culture getting toxic for everyone else?

Is it just my division, or has the vibe at Parker become incredibly demoralizing lately? Between the constant headlines about layoffs and the increased pressure to hit unrealistic targets with fewer resources, I’m finding it impossible to stay motivated. It feels like the company is prioritizing short-term margins over the people who actually keep the plants running. I used to enjoy the work, but now I’m just constantly stressed about whether my seat is next. I’ve started updating my resume, but honestly, the market feels shaky. Does anyone feel like there’s still a future here, or is it time to jump ship before things get even worse? Hard to focus on projects when you’re worried about job security 24/7.

It’s definitely not just your division. The shift toward extreme margin focus has sucked the air out of the room across the board. Upper management seems obsessed with stock performance at the expense of operational reality, and it's demoralizing to watch talented people pushed out to appease Wall Street. You aren’t alone in feeling like a line item rather than an employee. Updating your resume is the smartest move you can make right now because the loyalty we show them is clearly not being reciprocated in return.

Hang in there. I’ve seen this cycle before, and it’s always about the quarter-to-quarter grind until the pendulum swings back. While it feels toxic right now, try to keep your head down and stay focused on your own career growth rather than the corporate noise. It’s a massive company, and while the pressure is intense, it’s still a solid name to have on your experience list. Don't let the stress dictate your worth; just do your job and keep your options open if things don't improve.
