Parker Hannifin - Hiring freeze rumors?

Hey everyone, been seeing some chatter around my division lately, and it's making me a bit uneasy. The usual hiring emails have dried up, and a few critical roles that were open for months are now showing as 'on hold.' My manager is being super cagey when asked about headcount, just giving vague answers about 'optimizing resources' and 'strategic realignments.' It feels like more than just a seasonal slowdown. Anyone else in other departments noticing a similar slowdown in hiring or maybe even internal transfers being put on pause? Wondering if this is a company-wide thing or just isolated to certain segments. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the silence is pretty deafening.

I haven't heard any official word about a hiring freeze, but I've definitely noticed a shift. The pace of approvals for new requisitions seems much slower than it was even a quarter ago. My team had a couple of positions open that they've now put on the back burner indefinitely. It's making it tough to plan for upcoming projects when we're already stretched thin. Hoping it's just a temporary adjustment.

Interesting you bring this up. My experience in Engineering has been similar. We had a few senior roles we were actively recruiting for, and suddenly the budget was pulled. My lead mentioned it was related to a 're-evaluation of project pipelines.' It does feel like a general slowdown, not just in my specific area. Management is definitely being tight-lipped about the full picture, which is understandable given the uncertainty.
