Anyone else notice a shift in team dynamics at Paycom lately?

Hey everyone, been with Paycom for a few years now and lately things feel… different. It's hard to put my finger on it, but there's a palpable shift. More people seem to be quietly moving on, not necessarily a mass exodus, but a steady stream. Hiring seems to have slowed to a crawl in my department, and even roles that were open for ages are now gone. Management seems to be a bit tighter with resources too, like budgets for training or even just team lunches are getting scrutinized more. It's not panic mode by any stretch, but it's definitely a noticeable change from the usual pace. Just wondering if anyone else is feeling this or if it's just my little corner of the company. Curious about what others are hearing or seeing, especially with Q4 just around the corner. Is this a typical end-of-year slowdown, or is there something more going on under the surface?

I've definitely felt a change too. It's more subtle than a huge wave, but you can sense a different vibe. The 'new hire smell' has faded, and it feels like the focus has shifted internally. Less about growth and expansion, more about consolidation or just maintaining the status quo. Wondering if this is a broader industry trend or specific to how things are being run here now. Interesting you bring this up. I was thinking the same thing. The quiet departures have been noticeable, and the hiring freeze feels like it's been in place for longer than initially communicated. It makes you wonder about the long-term strategy. It's not necessarily a negative atmosphere, just... different. Less of the aggressive, fast-paced energy that used to characterize the place. Hopefully, it's just a phase and things will pick back up.
