Paycom: Seeing some quiet departures and hiring freezes?

Hey everyone, been at Paycom for a few years now and things feel... different lately. Not seeing any big official announcements, but there have been a noticeable number of people leaving in the last couple of months, often without much fanfare. Some teams seem to have had headcount frozen too, which is unusual given our growth trajectory. Anyone else noticing this? Just trying to gauge if it's a widespread thing or if I'm just in a weird department. Maybe it's just budget tightening or a strategic shift, but it's creating a bit of uncertainty. Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar things or have any insights.

I've definitely felt a shift too. It's subtle, but there's an undercurrent of uncertainty that wasn't there before. Saw a few familiar faces pack up their desks recently, and there's been talk about positions not being backfilled. It makes you wonder about the bigger picture, whether it's a strategic recalibration or something more concerning. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but it's hard to ignore when it's happening around you.

Interesting to hear others are noticing it. My department has definitely felt the slowdown in hiring – we had an approved role that's now suddenly on indefinite hold. Coupled with a few unexpected exits, it does create a weird atmosphere. It's possible it's just a standard budget review period, but the silence around any changes is a bit unnerving. Hopefully, it's just a temporary pause before things pick back up.
