Paylocity - What's the deal with hiring freezes?

Hey everyone, been seeing some chatter internally and wanted to see if anyone else is noticing this. Feels like hiring has significantly slowed down, almost to a halt in some departments. Projects seem to be getting stretched thin with current headcount, and there's a definite sense of 'doing more with less.' I know the market's been tough, but it feels more pronounced here lately. Has anyone else heard anything concrete about hiring freezes or any restructuring plans? Trying to get a pulse on what might be happening behind the scenes. Is this just a seasonal slowdown or something more structural? Curious to hear any insights or observations from others.

Yeah, I've definitely felt that too. It's not just you. Seems like any new openings are taking forever to get approved, and even then, the process feels way more scrutinized than usual. It's creating a lot of extra work for those of us still here, trying to pick up the slack. Hopefully, it's a temporary thing and not a sign of bigger issues down the road. Just trying to stay afloat with the current workload.

Totally on board with this. The slowdown is noticeable, and the 'do more with less' mantra is getting old. I've heard whispers about some departments being hit harder than others, but nothing concrete. It’s making it tough to even plan for future projects when we don't know if we'll have the resources. Curious to see if anyone has actual intel rather than just speculation.
