Just saw the filing for the N. First Street office. 251 people. October 30th is the date. I know we’ve had a few rounds this year, but does it ever end? Every time I think we’ve reached the bottom, another round of layoffs is announced. I’m tired of looking over my shoulder during every single town hall. Leadership keeps promising that we are 'streamlining operations' to focus on high-growth areas, but it feels like we’re just shedding talent to keep the stock price from cratering. I’ve been here for three years and I don’t recognize the culture anymore. It’s just cold efficiency and silence. Anyone else getting the vibe that the core engineering teams are being hollowed out completely? It’s hard to stay motivated when you’re just waiting for the inevitable invite to hit your inbox.

It is exhausting to watch the same cycle repeat every few months. I stopped believing the 'streamlining' narrative a long time ago. At this point, the leadership team seems more focused on managing investor expectations than actually building a sustainable future for the employees who remain. It’s hard to stay motivated when the company culture is just anxiety and constant turnover. I hope everyone affected lands on their feet quickly, because being in this environment is becoming increasingly unsustainable for those of us still holding on.

I have been here for years, and the atmosphere has never been this bleak. Every time a town hall invitation hits my calendar, my stomach drops. They keep talking about high-growth areas, but it feels like we are just hollowed out shells of what this company used to be. The stock price might be the priority for the board, but they are burning through human capital at a rate that is going to be impossible to recover from. Truly sorry to hear about those 251 people; it’s a rough way to head into the end of the year.
