Anyone else feeling nervous about potential layoffs at PayPal?

I've been at PayPal for almost 5 years now, in a PM role in the SMB division. Lately, the vibe has been super off. My manager seems stressed, meetings are getting canceled last minute, and there's a general sense of unease in the air. I know other big tech companies have been doing layoffs, and even though our numbers look okay on the surface, I can't shake this feeling. Anyone else picking up on this, or am I just being paranoid? Is there anything we can even do to prepare?

You're not alone. I'm in engineering, and I've noticed a similar shift in the past few weeks. Projects that were supposedly high priority are now being deprioritized, and there's been a freeze on new hires. It definitely feels like they're tightening the belt. The best thing you can do is update your resume and start networking, just in case. It's always better to be prepared, even if nothing happens.

Honestly, this is typical big company stuff. There's always some low-level anxiety floating around. Just focus on your work and try not to get caught up in the rumor mill. Unless you have concrete evidence of layoffs, like official announcements or leaked documents, I wouldn't stress too much. Managers are *always* stressed, cancelled meetings happen, etc. Don't let it affect your performance.
