Does anyone know if the severance package changed?

Seeing the reports about the 220 headcount reduction in India today. My heart goes out to everyone affected—it’s a brutal way to start the month. I’m currently trying to gauge if the separation terms have changed compared to the Q1 cuts. If anyone is willing to share (anonymously, of course), did the tenure multiplier stay the same? I’m seeing some chatter on internal groups that the benefits might be getting clawed back further, but I haven't seen a concrete breakdown yet. I’m worried that if we don't start seeing a stabilization in the workforce, the remaining talent is going to jump ship to competitors regardless of the exit packages. I’ve been at the firm for a while and I’m genuinely concerned about my own team's roadmap. It feels like we are being managed into the ground while the stock price remains the only metric that matters to the C-suite. Are any of you actually sticking around, or are you just waiting for your RSUs to vest? I’m seriously considering taking a hit on my unvested equity just to get out before the next shoe drops. This constant uncertainty is making it impossible to focus on actual development.

It’s honestly stressful not having clear answers when your livelihood is on the line. From what I’ve heard through the grapevine, the multiplier is essentially unchanged from Q1, but HR has tightened the interpretation of 'eligible' base pay. Don't rely solely on the internal wiki—make sure you save a copy of the actual severance agreement sent to your personal email before you lose access to the portal. Document everything, and if things seem off compared to your contract, don't be afraid to push back or consult an employment lawyer before signing those waivers.

I wouldn't bank on getting the same deal as Q1. Management is clearly trying to trim the fat across the board, and the language in the newer packages feels a lot more restrictive regarding equity vesting and bonus prorating. It feels like they are squeezing every bit of value out of the exit terms to keep the numbers looking better for shareholders. Keep a close eye on the 'release of claims' section—they’re definitely being more aggressive this time around to prevent future legal headaches. Stay sharp and reach out to anyone who already processed their paperwork.
