Is the Beverages division next for more cuts?

With the 169 layoffs in Montgomery hitting the news, I’m trying to get a read on the rest of the Beverages side. Leadership has been touting 'operational efficiency' for months, but we all know that’s just corporate-speak for headcount reduction. I'm hearing whispers that this isn't the end of the cuts for this quarter and that there’s a larger reorg plan moving into Q1 of next year. Has anyone heard anything about other regional offices being impacted? My manager keeps telling us to 'focus on the mission,' but how are we supposed to do that when the person sitting next to us might not be here on Monday? The lack of transparency is what really kills me. We’re working through the backlog of these exits without any clarity on whether our own roles are safe. If you’re at a satellite office, let us know if things seem normal or if the 'efficiency' talk is picking up over there too. Stay safe everyone.

The 'operational efficiency' line is such a tired script at this point. I’ve been through enough of these cycles at PepsiCo to know that once they start using that language, the spreadsheets are already finalized. If you're hearing rumors about Q1, believe them. Corporate never admits the full scope until the invites for the 'all-hands' meetings start hitting calendars. Keep your resume updated and make sure you’re networking outside of your current department before the formal announcements drop.

Honestly, the constant anxiety is exhausting. I’m in one of the regional offices and the vibe is tense, but nobody is saying anything official. Every time leadership mentions 'optimizing the supply chain' or 'streamlining,' it just feels like they're priming us for another round of departures. If there’s a reorg planned for Q1, they’ll likely wait until after the holiday season to avoid the bad PR. Don't wait for your manager to give you the green light—start preparing for your next move now.
