P66 - Anyone else feeling the pinch in their department?

Lately, my team has been seeing a slowdown in new projects and a lot of emphasis on 'efficiency improvements.' We're being asked to do more with less, and the overall workload feels heavier without any new resources. I've seen some senior folks retire early, and it doesn't seem like those roles are being backfilled at the same level. It's not a layoff announcement, not officially, but the signs are there that management is tightening the belt. Just wondering if this is a company-wide trend or if it's specific to certain areas. Anyone else in IT, operations, or corporate functions experiencing something similar? Trying to prepare myself mentally and professionally for whatever might be coming down the pipeline. Any insights would be appreciated.

Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing in my area. There's definitely a vibe of belt-tightening. Less new business coming in, and a lot of focus on squeezing more productivity out of the existing teams. It's making things feel pretty stressful, honestly. It's hard not to worry about what it means long-term when experienced people are leaving and not being replaced. Feels like we're walking on eggshells waiting for the next shoe to drop, even if nothing's been officially communicated.
