So, performance review season is here at Phillips 66, and honestly, the atmosphere feels different this year. Beyond the usual stress of ratings and feedback, there's this undercurrent of anxiety that I can't shake. People are talking, but it feels more like worried whispers than open dialogue. I've been getting the sense that managers are being put in a tough spot. We're hearing about 'efficiency improvements' and 'optimizing resources,' which, let's be real, often translates to more work for fewer people or worse, headcount reductions down the line. It's hard to feel motivated when you're worried about your standing, especially if you're in a role that might be seen as 'redundant' or 'underutilized' by some metrics. Is anyone else feeling this pressure? Has anyone had conversations with their managers that shed more light on the company's direction regarding headcount or restructuring? It's just this general feeling of unease, and I'm trying to figure out if it's just me or if it's a shared sentiment across the company. It makes it tough to focus on the actual work when this hangs over your head.
