Just saw the news about another round of layoffs at Pinterest. NDTV reported it, around X employees let go. It's getting hard to keep track. Honestly, after hearing about those engineers who built the layoff tracker getting fired (which is wild, btw), I'm starting to wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Is the company in trouble, or is this just a strategic pivot that's being poorly managed and communicated? The whole AI push mentioned in that Mastodon post makes sense on paper, but the way they're handling personnel changes feels... off. Anyone else in the same boat, feeling the unease and trying to piece together what's happening?

It's concerning to see repeated layoffs, especially when they involve people who were trying to provide transparency about the situation. That detail about the layoff tracker is particularly disheartening. Makes you wonder about the internal culture and how decisions are being made. Hoping for more clarity soon, but it's hard not to feel uneasy about the company's direction right now.
