I've been hearing whispers of potential restructuring in the marketing department, and I want to be prepared in case my role is impacted. For those who have been laid off from Pinterest in the past, what was the typical severance package like? Specifically, I'm curious about: * Weeks of pay based on tenure * Continuation of benefits (health, dental, vision) * Outplacement services or career counseling * Equity vesting acceleration Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Trying to understand my options ahead of time.

Hey, I'm so sorry to hear about the uncertainty. While I haven't been through a layoff *at* Pinterest, I have been through a few rounds at other tech companies. Generally, you can expect 2 weeks of pay per year of service, but that's just a starting point. Negotiate! Also, COBRA for health insurance is usually offered, but it's expensive. See if they'll cover a few months of it. Good luck!

Honestly, don't get your hopes up too high. These tech companies are notorious for offering the bare minimum. I heard through the grapevine that the last round only gave folks a few weeks of pay *total*, regardless of how long they were there. They might throw in some outplacement services, but those are usually pretty generic and not super helpful. Start polishing your resume now, just in case. Better to be prepared.
