PNC - Anyone else seeing hiring freezes or slow approvals?

Hey everyone, has anyone else noticed a significant slowdown in hiring at PNC lately? My team has been trying to fill a couple of critical roles for months, and the approvals are just not coming through. It feels like there's a freeze in place, even though nothing official has been announced. Same goes for some of the other departments I interact with – seems like headcount requests are getting shot down left and right. Just wondering if this is a widespread thing or if it's just my area. Curious to hear what others are experiencing, especially in different divisions. Trying to get a sense of the overall climate before things potentially get worse. Are budgets being scrutinized more heavily? Anyone got any intel on what's going on behind the scenes?

Yeah, I've definitely felt that too. It's been a struggle to get any new positions approved, even for roles we desperately need. The process seems to be taking an eternity, and honestly, it's starting to impact productivity. It's frustrating because you want to bring in fresh talent and expand, but the roadblocks are just immense. Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar delays across different divisions of the bank. It makes you wonder about the overall strategy when hiring seems to be on indefinite pause without clear communication.
