PPG - Hearing whispers, any concrete news?

Been at PPG for a few years now, and lately the vibe in the office has been... tense. Lot of "strategic realignment" talk, which usually precedes something unpleasant. No official announcements, but management's been cagey, and there's been a freeze on a lot of internal projects. Some teams are definitely feeling the pressure more than others. Anyone else in a similar boat? Curious if this is company-wide or just certain departments. Starting to update my resume just in case, but hoping it's nothing. Just feels like something's brewing. Anyone heard anything more solid than rumors? Trying to get a clearer picture before I start panicking.

Same here, the whispers are definitely getting louder. 'Strategic realignment' sounds like corporate speak for layoffs or major restructuring. The project freeze is a big red flag for me too. Feels like we're in limbo, and it's unsettling. I've been looking at other opportunities just to be prepared, but hoping it's just a temporary slowdown. It's tough when the uncertainty hangs over everything.

I haven't directly experienced the freeze on projects, but I've heard similar chatter from colleagues in other divisions. Management seems to be keeping information very close to the chest, which naturally breeds anxiety. It's a shame because the work itself is usually engaging. Let's hope whatever changes are coming are handled with transparency and support for the employees who have contributed.
