Hey everyone, seeing a lot of chatter across different industries about economic shifts and it's making me a bit uneasy about our situation at PPG. Haven't heard any direct layoff news, which is good, but the general vibe feels... quiet. Almost too quiet. Anyone else picking up on this? Are your departments seeing any shifts in priorities or hiring freezes that might signal something? I'm trying not to spiral, but it's hard when you're just waiting for something to break. Curious to hear if others are feeling this same low-level hum of uncertainty or if it's just me overthinking.

I'm with you on this. It's definitely a strange time. My team hasn't seen direct cutbacks, but there's been a noticeable slowdown in new project approvals and a general air of caution. It feels like everyone's just holding their breath, waiting to see what happens next. I've been trying to focus on my current tasks and stay visible, but the uncertainty is palpable. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull.

Yeah, I've felt it too. Conversations in the breakroom are a bit subdued, and there's a definite lack of the usual buzz around new initiatives. We haven't had any official announcements about layoffs or freezes, but you can sense a shift. People are being more reserved with spending and asking more questions about future roadmaps. It's wise to stay aware, but let's hope it's just the market adjusting and not a sign of bigger problems.
