PPG - Performance review season and future outlook

So, performance review season is upon us again at PPG. For those who have already had theirs, how did it go? More importantly, did anyone get a sense of the company's future outlook during these discussions? My manager was pretty vague, focusing mainly on individual achievements, which is fine, but didn't offer much clarity on where the company as a whole is heading, especially in light of the economic headwinds we're all seeing. Just trying to gauge the general sentiment and understand if there's any indication of hiring freezes, budget cuts, or anything that might signal upcoming changes. Any insights shared would be helpful to get a broader perspective beyond my immediate team. Curious to hear what others are hearing or experiencing.

Mine was similar – lots of focus on individual tasks and metrics. It's always a bit frustrating when the broader company strategy feels like a black box during these meetings. I'm also feeling the economic pinch and was hoping for some clearer direction on how PPG plans to navigate it. Yeah, my review was pretty standard too. Lots of talk about hitting targets for my department, but zero about the big picture. Felt like a missed opportunity to really discuss where things are headed with the market uncertainty. It would be great to know if there are any specific growth areas or strategic shifts being prioritized, beyond just 'doing well.'
