PPG Industries: Anyone else notice internal reorgs/role changes?

Hey everyone, been at PPG for a few years now and things have felt a bit... unsettled lately. Not seeing any big layoff announcements or anything concrete, but there have been a lot of internal reorgs happening across different departments. Seems like some teams are consolidating, and others are shifting focus pretty significantly. I've also heard about some roles being 'eliminated' but people being 'absorbed' elsewhere, which makes me wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Is this just standard business adjustment, or is anyone else getting the sense that things are tightening up? Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar things or have any insights into what might be driving these shifts. Trying to gauge the overall sentiment and if I should be more worried than I am.

I've definitely felt that same undercurrent of change. It's been a constant hum of shifting responsibilities and new reporting structures these past few months. While I appreciate the company trying to adapt and streamline, it's created a lot of uncertainty for those of us on the ground. Trying to keep up with who's doing what and where the priorities lie has become a daily challenge. Hopefully, it leads to some stability soon.

Totally. The 'absorbed' language is a bit of a buzzword, isn't it? It feels like a way to manage headcount without the official optics of layoffs. I've seen a few familiar faces end up in departments they never worked in before. While it's good they're not just letting people go, it does make you question the long-term vision and whether current roles are truly valued or just placeholders until something else comes along. It's a bit disorienting.
