Feeling the pressure at PPL - anyone else?

Hey everyone, been with PPL for a few years now and lately, there's been a weird vibe in the air. Nothing concrete has been announced, no official news, but there's been a lot of 'reorganizations' and 'efficiency drives' happening. Feels like departments are being consolidated and job functions are being redefined more than usual. My team has seen a couple of people leave unexpectedly, and there's definitely a sense of unease. Just wondering if this is a company-wide thing or if it's just my division feeling the pinch. Curious to hear if others are experiencing something similar, or if it's just my imagination running wild. Trying to stay positive and focus on my work, but it's hard not to notice the shift. Anyone got any intel or gut feelings they want to share?

Yeah, I'm picking up on that too. The 'efficiency drives' are definitely noticeable. Feels like they're trying to squeeze more out of fewer people, and it's creating a lot of uncertainty. My department's been through a couple of 'restructures' in the last year, and it's hard to feel secure when things are constantly shifting. Hoping it's just a temporary phase and not a sign of bigger issues down the line. Stay vigilant.

I can relate to what you're saying. The atmosphere has been pretty tense lately. Lots of hushed conversations and a general feeling that something's up, even without official word. The constant reorganizations make it tough to plan or feel like your role is stable. It's understandable to feel uneasy when people are leaving and roles are being redefined. Hopefully, things will become clearer soon.
