Anyone else feeling the pressure at Principal right now?

Been at Principal for a few years now, and honestly, things feel… different lately. The usual year-end buzz is there, but it's got this undercurrent of anxiety. Lots of 'loud quiting' happening, people talking about their exit plans, and a general feeling of 'is my role safe?' I haven't heard anything concrete about layoffs, but the vibe is just off. Performance reviews seem to be getting extra scrutiny, and there's a lot of talk about 'optimization' and 'efficiency' in team meetings. Just wondering if this is a widespread feeling or if I'm just in a particularly tense department. Anyone else picking up on this? Trying to stay positive but it's hard when the office mood is this somber.

I've noticed the shift too. There's definitely a lot more emphasis on 'results' and 'streamlining' than I remember from previous years. The uncertainty is palpable, and it's hard not to feel it when so many people are openly discussing their next moves. It makes you wonder about the long-term stability and where the company is headed strategically. Hopefully, it's just a cycle and things will settle down soon.

Yeah, the atmosphere has been tense. I'm trying to stay focused on my own contributions, but the general unease is hard to ignore. Hearing about 'optimization' so frequently makes me nervous about potential restructuring, even if nothing is official. It would be good to get some clarity from leadership on the direction things are going, so we can all feel more secure in our roles.
