Principal FY24 - What's the Vibe?

Hey everyone, just trying to get a pulse on things at Principal. Been hearing some whispers and seeing some organizational tweaks here and there, but nothing concrete in terms of layoffs. Anyone in different departments feel like things are stable, or is there a general sense of unease? I'm in IT and we've had a few re-orgs over the last year, which is normal, but the pace seems to have picked up. Trying to figure out if it's just standard business evolution or if something bigger is brewing. Not looking for drama, just trying to gauge the general sentiment. Curious to hear from people in other areas like Investments, Operations, or even front-office roles. Is it business as usual, or are there changes happening that might affect roles down the line? Any insights would be appreciated.

I'm in a different division, but I've noticed a similar uptick in internal restructuring lately. It's hard to say if it's just proactive adaptation to market shifts or something more. My team hasn't experienced any direct impacts like layoffs, but there's definitely a feeling of 'keeping your head down and focusing on the work.' Hope the IT re-orgs bring some positive outcomes for your group.

From my perspective, things feel relatively steady. We've had some strategic shifts in focus, which naturally leads to some internal adjustments, but it hasn't translated into widespread concern about job security on my floor. It could be that different areas are experiencing different levels of change. It's understandable to feel a bit uncertain when you see re-orgs happening frequently. Fingers crossed it's just standard operational evolution.
