The environment is definitely tense right now. It feels like we’re in a constant holding pattern while leadership talks about efficiency, but the reality on the ground is just burnout and unanswered questions. Every time a team member leaves, that workload is just dumped onto whoever is left, and the silence from the top makes it clear that help isn't coming. It’s hard to stay motivated when the company culture has shifted from growth to just keeping the lights on. Many of us are polishing our resumes on the weekends just in case.
I've been tracking those headcount numbers too, and it’s discouraging to see the open roles vanish one by one. While the official line is about operational discipline, it feels more like a slow-motion layoff where they hope people will just quit on their own to avoid the severance costs. The lack of transparency regarding the hiring freeze is the worst part; a little honesty would go a long way in calming the nerves around here. Everyone is just bracing for the next announcement and watching the internal portal like a hawk.
