PSA: Anyone else seeing hiring freezes or slowdowns?

Hey everyone, been with Public Storage for a few years now and lately things have felt a bit... quiet. Not hearing about any major layoffs or anything confirmed, but I've noticed a definite slowdown in hiring for roles that usually move pretty fast. Some positions have been open for months. Also, the usual internal chatter about expansion projects seems to have died down. Is anyone else in different departments experiencing this? Wondering if it's just my area or a broader company trend. Trying to get a sense of the general vibe before Q3 earnings. Any insights appreciated.

I've noticed something similar. Been here about the same amount of time, and while I haven't heard anything official about freezes, the pace of filling open positions has definitely changed. It feels like the budget for new hires might be tighter than usual. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull and not a sign of bigger issues down the line. It's good to know I'm not the only one picking up on this shift.

That's interesting to hear you're seeing a slowdown too. My department has also had roles open for longer than I can remember, and usually, we're quite aggressive with recruitment. The lack of new project discussions is also a bit concerning. I'm hoping it's just a strategic pause or reallocation of resources rather than a sign of financial strain.
