Seriously, is anyone else feeling uneasy at Raytheon right now? I'm not talking about a formal announcement or anything, but just the general vibe. We've had a few project delays, some budget reallocations that seem a bit odd, and a noticeable slowdown in hiring for certain roles. I've been here a while and it feels like we're heading towards some kind of 'right-sizing,' if you catch my drift. It's the quiet before the storm kind of feeling. My manager is being super cagey, and the usual company-wide updates seem a little more generic than usual. Anyone in a similar boat? Any departments feeling the squeeze more than others? Curious to hear what others are hearing, or not hearing, and how it's affecting your day-to-day. Just trying to prepare mentally and see if this is a widespread feeling or just my paranoia.

I'm definitely picking up on the same undercurrents. The whisper network is buzzing, and frankly, the silence from leadership on certain strategic shifts isn't helping. Been seeing fewer new requisitions float through the internal job board too, which is always a red flag for me. Let's hope it's just a market correction and not something more significant.

Yeah, the 'cagey' manager is a classic sign. My department's been told to 'optimize resources' which sounds like a fancy way of saying 'do more with less' or potentially 'look for efficiencies.' I'm keeping my resume updated, just in case. Better to be prepared than blindsided. The defense sector can be volatile, always has been.
