That's rough, buddy. Fifteen years is a long time to dedicate to a company. "Restructuring" is corporate speak for 'we want to goose the stock price.' Been there, felt that. Don't let the anger consume you. Take a breath, update that resume, and hit LinkedIn hard. Lean on your network. Something will turn up. You've got experience that's valuable.
Yeah, I've seen this happen too often in defense. It's a business, and loyalty doesn't always pay the bills. While your anger is understandable, consider this: maybe it's an opportunity. Fifteen years is enough to build up a solid skill set. Explore other industries. Maybe find something that's less boom-and-bust.
