Anyone else feel the vibe shifting in the office lately?

Is it just me, or is the atmosphere at O becoming incredibly tense? I’ve been here for a few years and usually, the office is pretty standard corporate-professional, but the last couple of weeks feel different. Leadership is being extremely tight-lipped about the recent portfolio rebalancing, and there are way too many closed-door meetings happening in the conference rooms near the executive suite. I had a casual chat with someone in acquisitions, and they mentioned that travel budgets are being slashed across the board, even for essential property site visits. It feels like they’re tightening the belt in anticipation of something, but nobody is saying the 'L' word. My manager used to be super laid back, but now they’re constantly pinging me for status updates on projects that aren't even due for another month. I’m starting to get that nervous feeling in my gut. Is anyone else hearing rumors about Q3 or Q4 restructuring, or am I just reading too much into the current market headwinds?

It’s definitely noticeable. I’ve been with the firm for a while, and the shift in energy is palpable. The lack of transparency regarding the portfolio moves has everyone on edge, and the constant influx of consultants and closed-door meetings really fuels the rumor mill. When leadership goes silent like this, it usually means something significant is brewing behind the scenes. Just keep your head down and stay focused on your metrics for now; speculating too much will only stress you out further until we get an actual update.
