Regeneron: Anyone else notice hiring freezes or slowdowns?

Been trying to get a few roles filled on my team for a while now and it's been a struggle. It feels like approvals are taking way longer than usual, and some requisitions that seemed straightforward have just gone quiet. On top of that, I've heard from a couple of people in other departments that they're not posting new roles, or that internal transfers are being put on hold. Is this something others are experiencing across Regeneron? Feels like a soft hiring freeze or at least a significant slowdown is happening. Curious if this is a company-wide thing or if it's just certain departments/projects. Trying to understand the broader picture here. Any insights would be appreciated.

Yeah, I've definitely felt a shift in the last quarter or so. Getting headcount approved has been a real uphill battle, and the timelines for recruitment seem to be stretching out considerably. It's not just my team either; I've heard similar anecdotes from colleagues in different areas. It's making planning for future projects a bit more challenging when you can't rely on getting the necessary talent in a timely manner. Hopefully, it's a temporary situation.

Interesting you bring this up. I haven't experienced a hard freeze, but the process for bringing in new folks has certainly become more arduous. There's a lot more scrutiny on each req, and it feels like the bar for approval is higher. Plus, some of the roles that were open for a while have just been closed without much explanation. It's creating some uncertainty, and I'm curious to see how long this period lasts.
