Regions Financial - Anyone else feeling the pressure?

Hey everyone. Been at Regions for a few years now, and lately, the vibe feels… off. Performance reviews just wrapped up, and while I didn't get a stellar rating, I also didn't bomb it. But the commentary from management seemed a lot more focused on 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' than usual. Has anyone else picked up on this? Seems like there's a general sense of unease creeping in, and I'm trying to gauge if it's just my department or a wider thing. Curious to hear if others are hearing similar 'efficiency' talk or noticing any other subtle shifts in management's messaging. Trying not to panic, but also want to be realistic about the landscape.

I've definitely noticed the emphasis on efficiency too, and it's not just your department. Seems like a company-wide push. While it's understandable in the current economic climate, the constant talk about 'streamlining' can create a lot of anxiety. It's hard to focus on doing your best work when you're constantly worried about whether your role might be next on the chopping block. Just trying to keep my head down and do a good job, but the unease is definitely palpable.

Yeah, the 'efficiency' talk has been loud around here as well. Feels like a lot of buzzwords being thrown around without much concrete action, which just adds to the general feeling of uncertainty. I'm trying to stay positive and focus on the work, but it's tough when you hear management constantly discussing cost-cutting measures and optimizing processes. Makes you wonder what the long-term plan really is for employees.
