Anyone else feeling the jitters at Republic Services?

Hey everyone, been with Republic Services for a few years now and lately, the vibe just feels... off. There are no official announcements or anything concrete, but I'm hearing whispers and seeing small signs. Managers seem a bit more stressed, there's a freeze on some requisitions, and the usual chatter about expansion has quieted down. It's probably nothing, but it's hard not to get a little anxious, especially with how things are in the broader economy right now. Has anyone else picked up on anything similar in their departments or locations? Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide feeling or if I'm just overthinking it based on some local noise. Trying to stay positive but also realistic, you know? Wondering if now's the time to start dusting off the resume, just in case.

I'm picking up on the same things. There's definitely a different atmosphere around here lately. The requisition freeze is a bit concerning, and it's hard to ignore the quietness on the expansion front. Just hoping it's a temporary blip and not something more serious. Fingers crossed we get some clarity soon.

Yeah, I've noticed it too. The increased stress levels and the general hushed tones don't inspire much confidence. It's understandable to be a little worried given the economic climate. Let's hope these are just standard precautionary measures and nothing more substantial. Trying to stay positive but it's tough with the uncertainty.
