Hey everyone, I'm posting this anonymously because, well, you know how it is. Been with RS for a few years now, and lately things feel... off. We've had a couple of high-level internal announcements about 'optimizing resources' and 'streamlining operations,' which is corporate speak for anything, really. But I've also noticed a significant slowdown in new hires, even for roles that seem critical. Plus, some projects that were greenlit a few months back are suddenly on ice or moving at a snail's pace. My direct manager is being cagey when asked, just saying 'we're reassessing priorities.' Is anyone else experiencing this? Seeing similar patterns in their departments or locations? Just trying to get a pulse check on the broader situation. Worried about what this might mean down the line. Not seeing any official layoff news, but these are the kind of whispers you hear before the storm, right?

It's not just you. My department has been feeling the pinch too. We've had positions open for months that aren't being filled, and training for new initiatives has been pushed back indefinitely. It creates a lot of uncertainty for those of us on the ground trying to get things done. The lack of clear communication about what's actually happening only adds to the frustration. Hoping for some transparency soon.
