Republic Services - Concerned about the future, anyone else feel it?

Hey everyone, been with RS for a few years now and lately things have felt... different. Not sure if it's just my location or a broader trend, but there's been a definite chill in the air. Projects seem to be getting delayed, budgets are tighter than ever, and some of the usual chatter about growth has gone quiet. I'm seeing a lot more 'questionable' decisions from management that feel like they're trying to cut costs without actually saying layoffs are coming. Anyone else in a similar boat? Are you hearing anything from your managers or leadership that gives you a clue about what's going on? Trying to gauge the overall sentiment here. Just looking for some honest insights from fellow employees. Is it just me, or is there a real sense of unease brewing?

I've noticed similar rumblings in my district too. It feels like there's a general air of uncertainty, and the increased focus on 'efficiency' feels like a code word for belt-tightening. It's definitely unsettling when you've invested your time and energy into a company and start seeing these shifts. I'm hoping it's just a temporary phase and not a sign of deeper issues.

Yeah, the vibe has definitely changed. Budgets are definitely squeezed, and you can feel the pressure from corporate. Projects that used to get the green light are now facing endless scrutiny. It's tough to stay motivated when you're not sure about the long-term stability. Makes you wonder what the strategy really is behind these cost-cutting measures.
