I've been with Republic for a while too, and yeah, I've definitely noticed the increased chatter. "Optimization" is a corporate buzzword that usually translates to layoffs or slashed benefits, so I'm right there with you feeling apprehensive. It's tough when there's no transparency, makes it hard to plan or feel secure about your job. Hoping it's just minor tweaks, but past experience suggests otherwise.

My branch has been in constant "efficiency" meetings for the last quarter. They're talking a lot about streamlining processes and leveraging new technology, which sounds good on paper, but the underlying message feels like they're looking for ways to reduce headcount.
