Severance Package - What to expect?

Hypothetically speaking... what's the standard severance package at Roblox? I've heard whispers of restructuring within my org, and I'm trying to mentally prepare for the worst. I'm a senior engineer with 7 years of experience (3 at Roblox). I know it probably varies based on level and tenure, but any insight into the typical formula (weeks per year of service, benefits continuation, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. Also, do they usually offer career counseling or outplacement services? Thanks in advance.

I've heard they're generally decent, but definitely negotiate! Three months of base salary seems to be a common starting point for engineers with your tenure, plus benefits continuation for a similar period. Push for more, especially if you have unvested stock options. Don't be afraid to ask for outplacement services – they can be incredibly helpful. Good luck, and remember your worth!

Take everything with a grain of salt. What one person gets, another might not. Restructuring could mean anything from moving teams to actual layoffs, so try not to panic. Focus on doing your best work and documenting everything you've contributed. This will be helpful regardless of what happens. Start polishing your resume now just in case. Being proactive will help you feel more in control.
