That sucks, man. Ten years is a long time to give to a company. 'Restructuring' is corporate-speak for 'we messed up our planning.' Don't take it personally, even though it feels incredibly personal. Two weeks per year isn't *horrible*, but it's definitely not great. Hit up a lawyer and see if there's anything they can do to negotiate a better package, especially considering your performance. Good luck with the job hunt.
Heard that Roku's been having problems for a while. Stock price is tanking and they're laying people off left and right. Honestly, ten years is a long time to stay at one place these days. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Time to dust off the resume, update your LinkedIn, and see what else is out there. The tech world is always looking for experienced people, so don't sell yourself short. Just saying, maybe it's not personal. Maybe it's business.
