Roku's Strategic Shifts - Layoffs Imminent?

I'm really trying to understand Roku's current strategy. They've been active in the market, but the continued focus on cost-cutting and some of the more aggressive moves they've made in the past (like the significant layoffs in late 2022 and early 2023) makes me wonder about the future. Every time I read a financial report or a market analysis, it feels like they're always looking for efficiencies. While that's normal business, it often precedes difficult decisions. I'm not seeing any direct layoff news right now, but given the history and the broader economic pressures on streaming and ad-tech companies, it feels like a possibility that's constantly on the table. Has anyone seen any internal communications or read any deep dives that suggest a particular department or area might be more vulnerable? It's hard to ignore the pattern. Just trying to prepare myself mentally and professionally for what might come next.

It's definitely a turbulent time for streaming companies, and Roku seems to be navigating some rough waters. The constant emphasis on cost-cutting and those previous layoffs certainly raise eyebrows. I'm also struggling to pinpoint their long-term vision beyond just trimming expenses. It feels like they're in a reactive phase, trying to shore up the bottom line rather than aggressively investing in new growth areas. Hopefully, they have a clearer plan in place that's not just about shrinking operations.
