Two weeks per year sounds about right for the *generous* end of the spectrum. My friend at a different streaming company got burned a few years ago. He only got one week per year, plus accrued vacation time paid out. Unvested stock vanished immediately, and they were adamant about it, no negotiation. Definitely buckle down and try to make it to your vesting date. Good luck!
Honestly, assuming anything about severance packages is a dangerous game. Policies change, and what one person hears is often just hearsay. If you're really concerned, quietly update your resume and start discreetly exploring other options. It's better to be prepared than to be caught off guard. Even if the severance is decent, finding a new job takes time!
