Severance packages after the Feb 10th wave

Has anyone from the latest group of 142 received their packet yet? I’m trying to gauge if the severance is actually competitive or if they’re just doing the legal bare minimum. I spent a long time here, and honestly, the way the communication was handled was brutal. No transparency, just a sudden invite and access cut. I’m trying to stay professional, but it’s tough when you gave this company your best years. If you’ve seen the documents, are they trying to force a non-disparagement agreement or is there some flexibility to negotiate? I’m mostly worried about the healthcare extension—that’s the biggest stressor right now with the job market looking so shaky. Any advice on what to look for in the fine print would be appreciated. Hope we all find something better soon.

I was part of a previous round, and unfortunately, it is the bare minimum. They focus heavily on those non-disparagement clauses to keep everyone quiet, especially given how poorly the communication is handled. My advice is to have an employment lawyer look over every single page before you sign anything. They rely on people being desperate and signing immediately, but you should take your time and see what leverage you have. It is a cold way to treat loyal employees after years of service.

Hang in there. It’s incredibly demoralizing when you see the company treat people like line items after years of dedication. I’ve seen the packets from similar rounds, and they definitely push hard for that silence in exchange for the severance. Don't let the pressure to sign get to you; review the terms carefully, especially regarding your benefits and any stock vesting. If you feel like they are lowballing you based on your tenure, it might be worth pushing back through counsel before settling.
