RPM International - Performance Concerns and Layoff Speculation

Hey everyone, been lurking here for a while, but feeling the need to post. Has anyone else at RPM been noticing some weird stuff lately? Sales figures seem a bit soft in a few divisions, and I've heard some whispers about cost-cutting measures being discussed at higher levels. Nothing concrete, of course, but the vibe is definitely there. It's hard not to think about layoffs when you see these kinds of signals, especially with the general economic climate. Just wondering if anyone else is picking up on similar trends or has any insider info, even unofficial chatter. Trying to gauge if this is just company-specific jitters or part of a broader industry trend. Hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst, I guess. Anyone else in a similar boat or have any thoughts on how this might play out?

I've been with RPM for a few years now, and while I haven't heard anything official about layoffs, I'm also picking up on a slightly cautious atmosphere. Some projects have definitely seen slower starts than usual, and there's a bit more emphasis on efficiency across the board. It's probably wise to stay informed, but let's not jump to conclusions just yet. Hope it's just a cyclical dip.

Interesting you bring this up. I've noticed some internal restructuring announcements recently, which can sometimes precede broader changes. The sales numbers across some of our key product lines haven't been setting records, that's for sure. It's a tough market out there, and I imagine leadership is evaluating all options to ensure long-term stability. Hopefully, it's a strategic realignment rather than a sign of deeper issues.
