RPM International - What's the Vibe Post Q2 Earnings?

Hey folks, Just wanted to start a thread to see what everyone's feeling at RPM after the Q2 earnings call. I know there haven't been any major layoff announcements or anything concrete, but I'm personally feeling a bit of an undercurrent of uncertainty. Revenue was a bit soft, and the commentary around inflation and supply chain issues seems to be sticking around. Curious if anyone else is picking up on similar signals or has heard any whispers through the grapevine. Are departments looking at headcount freezes? Any slowdown in hiring? Just trying to gauge the general mood and see if others are feeling the same pressure or if I'm just overthinking things. Not looking for rumor mills, just general observations and feelings from those on the ground. Anyone got any insights or just want to commiserate about the general economic climate impacting our roles?

I'm with you on the uncertainty. While Q2 wasn't a disaster, the persistent mentions of inflation and supply chain headwinds are definitely a yellow flag. It feels like they're managing the current situation, but the lack of strong forward guidance on growth makes me a bit cautious about the short-to-medium term outlook. Hoping for some clearer signals in the next quarter.

Heard similar rumblings. The top line felt a little sluggish, and I'm wondering if the cost pressures are really starting to bite into margins more than they're letting on. It's tough to say without more detail, but I'm keeping an eye on inventory levels and any commentary about discretionary spending from their customer base. Feels like a wait-and-see game right now.
