Seeing a lot of chatter about AI and layoffs, especially with Salesforce. It feels like there's a narrative being pushed that AI is the reason for cuts, but honestly, it also feels like a convenient excuse for restructuring or offshoring. I've seen the AI tools popping up, like that Resume Rescue one. While helpful for candidates, it also highlights how much tech is being automated. I'm not sure if it's a direct cause for our roles being eliminated, or if it's more about how leadership is using it to justify reducing headcount overall. Anyone else feel like the AI story is a bit too neat and tidy? Wondering if there's a deeper strategy at play, like optimizing for cost savings through automation and cheaper labor markets. It's hard to separate the genuine tech advancements from the business decisions disguised as progress.
