Impact of AI on roles after the layoffs

Seeing a lot of chatter about AI being a factor in the recent Salesforce layoffs. Business Insider mentioned it, and frankly, it's something many of us have been thinking about. If AI is going to handle more of the grunt work or even complex analysis, what does that mean for the roles that remain? Are we looking at a future where fewer people are needed overall because AI can do the job of 2-3 people? I'm not anti-AI, per se. It's a powerful tool. But when leadership starts talking about 'needing less heads' because of AI, it's hard not to feel a chill. For those who've been through this layoff cycle at Salesforce, did any of the conversations or communications hint at AI replacing specific functions or roles? Is anyone else in a position where they see their job potentially being automated in the near future? Curious to hear thoughts on how to adapt or what skills are becoming more critical in this evolving landscape.
