Just saw the WARN notice for Bayonne drop. It’s 859 heads. My group in the NJ office was bracing for this after the internal chatter about 'optimizing global operations' started circulating last month, but seeing the actual number makes it feel way too real. It’s funny how they sell us on 'One Salesforce' and 'Trailblazer culture' right up until the moment they hand out the severance packets. A few folks I’ve worked with for five years are already locked out of Slack. Honestly, at this point, it’s not even about the economy anymore. It’s just the constant churn. Every quarter feels like a dice roll to see if your org is the next one sacrificed to make the margins look prettier for the investors. If you’re in the Bayonne hub, check your personal email and start downloading your performance reviews and contact lists before they kill your access entirely. Good luck to everyone currently scrambling.

It’s absolutely brutal seeing those numbers in print. The 'One Salesforce' messaging always felt like corporate fluff, but it’s particularly sickening when you see long-term employees getting iced out of their accounts without a moment's notice. Five years of dedication, only to be treated like a rounding error on an optimization spreadsheet. I really feel for everyone caught in the Bayonne cuts. This company has changed so much, and not for the better. If you’re impacted, start updating your resume immediately and lean on your network—the job market is tough right now, but you deserve better than this culture.

Brace yourselves, because this is clearly just the beginning of the next wave. We’ve all seen the internal memos about efficiency, and it’s always the same story: leadership gets their bonuses while the actual talent is pushed out the door to satisfy Wall Street. It’s a cold reality check on what this culture actually values. To everyone struggling in New Jersey, don't let this define your worth. The tech world is bigger than one company that views you as nothing more than an expense to be trimmed. Good luck to everyone out there scrambling.
