Just saw the news about Salesforce cutting another chunk of employees, this time on August 7th, with a focus on San Francisco. Feels like every few months there's another wave. I know a few people who were impacted directly in the SF office. It's getting rough out there. Makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Are they consolidating roles, or is this purely cost-cutting? Seems like they're pushing for a smaller, more centralized workforce, maybe with a heavy reliance on AI or offshore talent, based on some of the chatter I've seen. Anyone else get the chop or know someone who did? Curious to hear what people are hearing on the ground.

Wow, another round of cuts, and so close to home for many in SF. It's tough to see a company of that size making such significant reductions so frequently.
