Salesforce offshoring and SF layoffs - is this the new normal?

Reading the news about the latest round of layoffs at Salesforce, and it seems like the SF office is getting hit again. Combined with the chatter about offshoring, it really makes you wonder what the long-term strategy is for the US workforce. Feels like a bait-and-switch after years of building up teams here. Anyone else in SF feel this is becoming a pattern? Saw a post about them hiring more overseas to cut costs, which is understandable from a business perspective, but it's tough when you're the one on the chopping block. Just feels like a constant state of uncertainty now.

It's definitely concerning to see the repeated layoffs and the talk of offshoring. It feels like a shift away from the commitment they seemed to have to their US-based talent. While I understand the need for cost optimization, the impact on employee morale and the perception of job security is significant. Yeah, the SF layoffs and offshoring rumors are definitely a hot topic. It's a tough pill to swallow after years of investing in building out teams locally.
