3000 Gone - My Take on the SAP Layoffs
3E
0x3ef5…7b77So, the news is out - 3000 people. It's a gut punch, no matter how you slice it. I've been with SAP for a while now, and while I wasn't directly affected this time, I know too many people who were. The official line is always about 'restructuring' or 'efficiency,' and yeah, the cloud transition is a big part of that. We're all supposed to be embracing the future, becoming more agile, blah blah blah. But when does it stop? It feels like we're constantly being told to do more with less, and now 'less' means even fewer people. I'm trying to stay positive, focus on my own work, but it's hard not to feel a knot in your stomach. What's the long-term plan here? Are we just going to keep shedding people until there's no one left to do the actual work? Anyone else feeling this unease? How are you coping?
