Anyone else feeling the pressure after the June 17th SAP cuts?

Just saw the news about the 3000 layoffs at SAP on June 17th. Honestly, I wasn't entirely surprised given the recent trends in enterprise software and the push towards cloud, but it still hits hard when it's official. I've been with SAP for a few years now, and while I'm still here, the atmosphere feels different. There's a lot of uncertainty, and people are naturally a bit more guarded. Was anyone here directly affected or do you know people who were? I'm curious about the specific divisions or roles that took the biggest hit. From what little I can glean, it seems like a broad sweep, but it's hard to get concrete details without sounding like I'm gossiping. Just want to understand the bigger picture and maybe share some of the anxiety. Anyone else trying to process this and figure out what it means for their own role and the company's future?

It's rough to hear about the layoffs. The uncertainty definitely hangs heavy in the air. I'm fortunate to still be employed, but it's hard not to worry about the future and what it means for projects and team structures. The focus on cloud is undeniable, and it seems like SAP is making some big strategic shifts. Hope everyone affected finds something new quickly.

Yeah, the news spread like wildfire. While the company's direction towards cloud solutions is understandable, the scale of these cuts is pretty jarring. It makes you wonder about the long-term stability in certain departments and if this is just the beginning. Keeping my head down and focusing on my work, but the gossip mill is in overdrive. Hoping for the best for those impacted.
