It’s happening again. Just got off the call with my lead. Looks like the June 17 reduction is hitting across multiple business units this time, not just the usual suspects in legacy support. They’re using the 'transformation' verbiage again, claiming it’s to shift focus toward the cloud platform and AI integration, but we all know the drill. It’s the same playbook they used last year. My manager was noticeably tight-lipped about the total number, but the rumor mill in the office is pointing toward 4,000 affected globally. If you’re in a high-cost geography and you haven't heard anything yet, keep your Slack status updated and your resume ready. The severance packages are apparently being handled through the internal portal, so watch your personal email if you lose access to your corporate account suddenly. Stay strong, everyone.

It is exhausting to see this cycle repeat year after year. They always lean on the 'cloud transformation' narrative to justify letting go of thousands of talented people, but it feels like the company is just burning bridges with its most experienced staff. I have seen too many colleagues get pushed out right before their projects reach completion. If you are reading this and still inside, keep your resume updated and start reaching out to your network now. This corporate playbook is getting old and it really makes you question the stability of the long-term vision they keep preaching at all-hands meetings.

Honestly, the constant restructuring is starting to reflect poorly on the internal culture. How are we supposed to stay focused on innovation and AI integration when everyone is constantly looking over their shoulder waiting for the next round of layoffs? The management team talks about efficiency, but constant turnover in these business units just leads to a massive drain of institutional knowledge that no amount of fancy technology can replace. I’ve been here long enough to see the patterns, and the morale hit is becoming impossible to ignore. Good luck to everyone affected by this latest round.
