Is it just my department, or are the managers suddenly acting like they’re under a gag order? I asked my lead about the rumors regarding the upcoming budget realignment, and he basically turned into a brick wall. Used to be that he’d at least give us a 'nothing to worry about' or a hint, but the total silence is actually more unsettling than an outright confirmation. It feels like they’ve been told to zip it until the official memo drops. Given the focus on 'cost discipline' in the latest quarterly reports, I have a feeling the axe is going to drop on the administrative side first. If anyone is hearing anything concrete regarding which divisions are being audited for 'redundancies,' let us know. It’s impossible to plan for the future when everyone in power is acting like they’re being watched by HR at all times. Stay safe out there.

It’s definitely not just your department. The vibe across the board has shifted from 'we’re all in this together' to 'don't ask or you're next.' My manager usually overshares, but this week he wouldn't even look me in the eye when I brought up the reorganization rumors. It’s painfully obvious they’ve been handed a strict script from the top down. The silence is deafening, and honestly, the lack of transparency is doing way more damage to morale than the actual budget cuts ever could.
